Weekend masti..weekend thrills!!

It's really a long time I was rolled out of laughter this weekend. We had a sound and exciting plan in order to treat my roommate’s friend who is coming from Hyd to Pune.

On Saturday Afternoon, we first went to Mc Donald’s; as usual had a yummy combo food there and moved to MG road for shopping! Now this MG road has got a hell number of shops which tempt all the gals to buy more n more things. We roamed over only a few shops and done with our shopping as we did not have much time. Next, we started to a place called CHOWKI DHAANI (an ethical Rajasthani village) which is 15kms far away from our home. We are total five in number, as we dint book any cab before, we had to go by an auto-rickshaw to save our time. We reached at around 6'0 clock in the evening!

It is located in a remote place called wagoly, and we need to go very inside of that place. Then we started worrying about going back from there. As soon as we entered, guards welcomed us with funny sayings Ram Ram Sa..Ram ram Ji..

As the name meant, Chokhi Dhani –" a small beautiful hamlet" , has maintained its rich art, traditional look and culture image with its host of Folk Dances- Ghoomer, Kalbelia,Bhopa Bhopi,Chaupal, etc….Village Artisans too show case their skills with the depiction of Kumbhar, Lohar, etc… There are many things to enjoy, so we planned to complete covering all parts in exactly four hours and we had to leave by 10 P.M sharp.

We had a great fun there; we went to camel riding, horse riding, horoscope, magic show. We had jeera juice, tasty snacks, and colored tattoos. We played many games, swung on cradles and had mehandi. The interesting part is Rajasthani typical dances. Their dances are completely traditional and

It will not be worthy and complete if I miss describing about the delicious food.

Generally, Rajasthani curries seem brilliant red but they are not as spicy as they look. The people use pure ghee to make the most Rajasthani cuisine as the medium of cooking. A favorite sweet dish called lapsi is prepared with broken wheat sauted in ghee and sweetened.

for them perhaps the best-known Rajasthani food is the combination of dal, batti and churma but for the adventurous travelers like us, willing to experiment, there is a lot of variety available.Be it dal batti and churma or missi roti , one always ends up licking his/her fingers. Besides, each region is distinguished by its unique popular sweet - Mawa Kachori, Alwar ka Mawa, Malpuas, Rasogullas, Ghevar to name a few.

For foodies like me, I am always fond of eating food cooked in ghee, cheese, butter and milk and they are famous for its mouth-watering aroma. But the people who serve food there makes our tummies scream No more!! But they won't stop!!

We were too exhausted to go back, we were pretty scared as the time was 10.30, we have to go till Station and we could not find any auto rickshaws outside. We ran to reception and pleaded them to arrange a cab. Finally we got a six seater auto-rickshaw which drops us till main road. But fortunately we requested that uncle to drop till Aerwada from where we can easily get transport to Station. The uncle is pretty sweet as he could chase a bus for us which goes to our home directly :) :)

That's not the end!

I will certainly come up with another post to jot down the Sunday’s feats!!

Cheers
